Catering/Retail Assistant

Catering & Retail Assistants are versatile team members who operate across our various food, beverage, and gift outlets. This is a combined role requiring individuals who are honest, trustworthy, and capable of delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Please Note: Good spoken and written English is a must for safety and customer interaction.

You will provide a high standard of customer service while maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe environment within our retail and catering units. You will be responsible for the accurate processing of transactions and the preparation and service of quality refreshments to our guests.

Candidate Requirements:

Attributes: You must be honest, mentally alert, numerate, and well-organised.
Integrity: You are expected to be highly trustworthy, particularly when handling cash and card payments.
Communication: The ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively is essential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As the face of our guest services, you are expected to:

Look and behave in a professional manner at all times.
Be clean, neat, and tidy in the correct uniform provided.
Be punctual and reliable for all allocated shifts.
Remain alert and attentive to customer needs at all times.
Be courteous to both customers and colleagues.

Core Tasks:

Sales & Service: Operating till systems, processing cash/card transactions, and adhering to ordering and serving procedures.
Operational Standards: Maintaining stock levels and following quality control expectations.
Hygiene & Safety: Adhering to all Food Hygiene policies, Health and Safety procedures, and daily cleaning routines (start, end, and during the shift).
Communication: Effective use of radio and communication systems.
Security: Ensuring all items are paid for before distribution and following staff discount policies.

Training:
Team members must follow all guidance provided by the management team. You will be required to attend scheduled training days and ensure any necessary qualifications remain valid and up to date.
